Lucie Shipp Tredennick focuses her practice on the representation of schools, colleges, and other public entities.  She defends her clients in administrative and litigation matters, and helps draft policies, programs, and handbooks that comply with federal and state law.  Prior to joining Thompson & Horton, Ms. Tredennick attained experience in general civil litigation, practicing in state and federal courts.  She has worked on lawsuits involving breach of contract, real estate, employment, insurance disputes, and constitutional claims.  Before attending law school, Ms. Tredennick taught elementary school special education and inclusion for several years, including two years as a Teach For America Corps Member.  While in law school, she clerked with the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
