John Hopkins has experience in general civil litigation, practicing in state and federal courts.  He has worked on lawsuits involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, professional liability, real estate disputes, homeowners association disputes, premises liability, and personal injuries.  Mr. Hopkins currently focuses his practice on the defense of governmental entities, including claims for sexual harassment, retaliation and breach of contract.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hopkins was a legislative aide in the Texas Senate, focusing on education and economic development issues.  Mr. Hopkins is a 2003 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center.  While in law school, he interned for Federal District Judge Melinda Harmon and was a Senior Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law.
