Sarah Dowdy Young focuses her practice on the representation of public and private schools, colleges, universities, and other public entities at both the state and federal level.  As a former elementary school teacher, she taught in the general education setting and also taught students with emotional and behavioral disorders.  Ms. Young has assisted clients in a variety of areas of school law, including student disability issues under the IDEA and Section 504, the Texas Public Information Act, litigation of business contracts, and student record requests.  While in law school, Ms. Young clerked with the Texas Tech University General Counsel's Office as well as the United States Attorney's Office in the Northern District of Texas.
