Celena’s dedication and commitment to public service is evidenced by her 17 years of experience working for governmental entities. Her strong passion for issues related to public health, education and safety influenced Celena’s decision to represent educational institutions and their employees.
Celena spent ten years as a Prosecutor advocating for victims of crime where she gained invaluable trial court experience. Her advocacy skills and hard work resulted in countless victories for crime victims, their families, and the State of Texas.
As a Manager of the Litigation Section at the Harris County Attorney’s Office, Celena provided leadership and support to attorneys, paralegals and elected officials. In addition to her management duties, Celena represented County entities and employees in civil rights, employment and general litigation matters in state and federal court. Celena has experience writing county regulations, legislation and advising county officials on a variety of legal matters. Celena serves on task forces and coalitions to combat human trafficking and serve at risk youth in Houston and Harris County.
