About Taylor Montgomery
Legal Assistant: Cindy Foreman | 972-694-3314 | firstname.lastname@example.org
Taylor developed her passion for education as a special education teacher prior to attending law school. Taylor’s classroom experiences taught her the important role that successful advocacy and an understanding of the law play in creating a strong education system.
Taylor graduated from the SMU Dedman School of Law, where she focused on employment law, disability law, and family law topics. While in law school, Taylor served on the SMU Law Review and was honored to be selected for publication. She gained experience representing clients as a student attorney through the W.W. Caruth, Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic. With the goal of practicing school law upon graduation, Taylor clerked for various education-centered organizations and law firms, including Thompson and Horton. Prior to attending SMU, Taylor participated in Teach for America in the Greater New Orleans area, where she helped build the special education department at a brand new, high-performing charter school.
