This school year, sharpen your skills and stay up to date with the latest changes to special education law with Thompson & Horton’s 2023-24 Special Education Webinar series.
The first Thursday of every month at 1pm, Thompson & Horton’s special education team will break down key concepts and provide insight on developing issues affecting your students, teachers, and districts. From Child Find to Discipline we can help you navigate the obstacles you face as a special education leader.
Each of these trainings are offered with Texas Bar-approved Continuing Legal Education (CLE) hours.
The series begins September 7th with a look at Child Find, and wraps up May 2nd with a look back at the major changes from the 2023-24 school year and their effects going forward.
We understand that different districts have different needs and are offering several options for this series of trainings.
Live Webinars
For those who want the latest special education information and want it as soon as possible, attending the webinars will offer a great way to stay on top the issues that are currently keeping our attorneys busy.
Registration for live webinars includes day-of attendance to the Zoom webinar for a single member of your organization and a PDF copy of the presentation slides for the webinar attended. Webinar attendees are also invited to stay for a post training Q&A where presenters can answer additional questions that arise from the training.
Attendance for a single webinar is $125 per attendee. Individuals who would like to attend multiple webinars can purchase a package of any four webinars for $425, or all eight webinars for $775.
Video-On-Demand (VOD)
For those who are interested in sharing this training throughout their organization, want to use these trainings as a building block for internal workshops, or just like to work on their own schedule, the video-on-demand option allows you and your coworkers the flexibility to use these trainings in your own framework.
Purchasing Video-On-Demand (VOD) access includes a limited license that provides all members of your institution on-demand, streaming access to the recorded webinars and a PDF copy of the presentation slides for the training licensed.
A single training can be licensed for $500. Institutions that would like access to multiple trainings can purchase a package of video-on-demand licenses for any four trainings for $1700, or license all eight trainings for $3100.
In-Person Training
If you would like training more tailored to your needs or just prefer to have an attorney in the room with you, our attorneys are happy to put together in-person training for your organization. Contact Mindy Irvin with your information and we will work to create an in-person training that directly addresses your needs.
